News Channeling Kevin Spacey to Play Off-Broadway A new two-character play entitled Channeling Kevin Spacey is headed Off-Broadway, according to an Equity casting notice.

The play, penned by Elan Farbiarz and Cory Terry, will be directed by co-playwright Farbiarz. Rehearsals are scheduled to begin in late March with an opening in April. Producers are Wolf & Williams Productions. Channeling Kevin Spacey, according to the casting notice, concerns "Charlie, a meek movie buff, [who] is mistreated by his cheating girlfriend, abused by his overbearing boss, and misled by his sleazy 'best friend.' After a particularly soul-squashing day at work, Charlie has an epiphany. He is Kevin Spacey ... Well, not THE Kevin Spacey, but his weak movie characters. Charlie resolves to follow in the footsteps of 'Verbal' Kint and Lester Burnham by undergoing a dramatic transformation. He will be more like ... Al Pacino. This metamorphosis triggers devastating and hilarious confrontations, as Charlie turns the table on his oppressors."

Charlie, the casting notice states, "should be well-studied in the films of both Kevin Spacey and Al Pacino," while Actor 2 "must be versatile, as he plays all other characters in Charlie’s life."

No official announcement about the production has been made.
