News Chip Zien to Host Broadway in the Berkshires; Rachel de Benedet and More to Perform Chip Zien will host Broadway in the Berkshires, an Aug. 15 benefit for Shakespeare & Company's educational programs, which will feature Rachel de Benedet and Peter Mazurowski.

Sam Scalamoni will direct the 6 PM concert at the Founders’ Theatre in Lenox, MA, which will have music direction by Paul Staroba. Zien (Into the Woods, Hairspray, Les Miserables) will serve as host.

Set to appear are de Benedet (Catch Me If You Can), Mazurowski (Billy Elliot), Kearran Giovanni (Catch Me If You Can), Sean Patrick Doyle (La Cage aux Folles), Ryan Link (Wonderland), Jonathan Rayson (Little Shop of Horrors), Karmine Alers (Rent), Erik Liberman (Lovemusik), Brian Charles Rooney (The Three Penny Opera), Alexis Hightower (Rent), Dan Kohler (Blue Man Group), Deborah Grausman (Fiddler on the Roof), Eleni Sophia (Mame), as well as Shakespeare & Company members Bill Barclay, Sean Cody, Paul D’Agostino and David Joseph.

The evening promises songs from Broadway, including Cole Porter classics, as well as a post-performance dinner.

Musicians for the evening include pianist Staroba, Boston Symphony Orchestra cellist Owen Young and percussionist Chris Mattoon.
