The new disc represents seven shows that were revived in concert by the now 10-year-old musical theatre series produced by City Center in Manhattan. Going into the studio with the casts and orchestra following concert runs, DRG and its founding producer Hugh Fordin preserved Styne, Comden and Green's Do Re Mi (1999 season), Bock & Harnick's Tenderloin (2000), Irving Berlin's Call Me Madam (1995), Rodgers and Hart's Pal Joey (1995), Babes in Arms (1999), The Boys From Syracuse (1997) and Cole Porter's Out of This World (1995).
The disc includes 'Overture," "Make Someone Happy" and "All My Life" from Do Re Mi; "Tommy, Tommy," "Good Clean Fun" and "My Gentle Young Johnny" from Tenderloin; "The Hostess With the Mostes' on the Ball" and "It's a Lovely Day" from Call Me Madam; "Where or When," "Johnny One-Note" and "I Wish I Were in Love Again" from Babes in Arms; "Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered," "Zip" and "I'm Talkin' to My Pal" from Pal Joey; "I Am Loved," "Nobody's Chasing Me" and "From This Moment On" from Out of This World; "Falling in Love With Love," "He and She" and "Sing for Your Supper" from The Boys From Syracuse.
