Perhaps feeling the strain of playing madmen every night, the actors have announced a series of late-night comedy evenings. Christian Slater, who stars in the show, will be hosting the nights, and he’s also promised to provide some tonsil-shaking as he rounds every show off with a song. Cast members joining him will include Frances Barber and Mackenzie Crook. Crook, of course, was a key cast member in the Emmy Award-winning BBC comedy series “The Office.”

Other cast members joining them will include Stephen K. Amos, Ian Coppinger, Brendan Dempsey, Felix Dexter, Dave Johns, Phil Nicol, Owen O’Neill, Lucy Porter and Gavin Robertson. The comedy shows are scheduled for 10:30 PM on Oct. 16 and 30, and Nov. 13 and 27.

One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest is booking till Dec. 4. Despite early troubles which saw Slater succumb to chicken pox, then break his hand, and the original director pull out for personal reasons, the show is one of Theatreland’s current big earners.
