Christine Andreas opened a four-week debut run at the Cafe Carlyle in New York City Sept. 19, teaming with musical director Lee Musiker for a show of pop songs, show tunes and jazz.
Musiker heads a quartet, with Andreas singing a range that includes selections in Italian, Spanish and French. She recently played Marguerite in Broadway's The Scarlet Pimpernel.
A live performance CD, "The Best is Yet to Come," is expected in stores soon. Her previous solo disc is called "Love is Good."
Performances continue twice nightly Tuesday-Saturday at the Cafe Carlyle, in the Carlyle Hotel, to Oct. 14. Music charge is $60. The Carlyle is at 35 E. 76th Street. Call (212) 744-1600 for reservations, or visit the official Christine Andreas web site at www.ChristineAndreas.com.
