Broadway News Christopher Fitzgerald Returns to Waitress on Broadway December 11 The Tony nominee steps back into the role of Ogie as Stephanie Torns dons Jenna's apron once more.

Christopher Fitzgerald, who earned a Tony nomination in 2016 for his performance as Ogie in Waitress, steps back into the shoes of the eccentric Revolutionary War reenactor. The original cast member returns to the Broadway production at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre December 11, taking over for Alex Wyse.

Additionally, original cast member and understudy Stephanie Torns takes center stage once more as Jenna for a limited engagement following Nicolette Robinson's final bow December 9. The show's Tony-nominated composer Sara Bareilles will take on the role for a third time beginning January 7, 2019, appearing opposite Tony and Olivier winner Gavin Creel as Dr. Pomatter.

In addition to Waitress, Fitzgerald has earned Tony nominations for Finian’s Rainbow and Young Frankenstein. His additional Broadway credits include An Act of God, Wicked, Chicago, and Amour.

The current cast also includes Drew Gehling as Dr. Pomatter, Charity Angel Dawson as Becky, Lenne Klingaman as Dawn, Ben Thompson as Earl, June Squibb as Josie, and Benny Elledge as Cal.
