News Christopher Gattelli and Beth and Alan Williams Will Be Honored at NYMF Gala The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) has announced that choreographer Christopher Gattelli and theatre producer and manager Beth and Allan Williams will be honored at their 2014 Gala Nov. 9 at the Edison Ballroom (240 W. 47th Street).

The honorees will be celebrated with performances from Broadway stars and NYMF alumni in an evening of entertainment directed by Stuart Ross (Forever Plaid).

Anna Gilligan, entertainment reporter for FOX 5 News, will host the event.

NYMF executive director and producer Dan Markley said in a statement, "Each of these talented individuals has made their mark on the musical theatre landscape, and continues to be a great champion of new work. We feel honored to have their support.”

Gattelli is a Tony Award winner for his work on Newsies and choreographed Altar Boyz in the first season of NYMF. Gattelli subsequently garnered Drama Desk and Lucille Lortel Award wins for Altar Boyz and then went on to gain Broadway credits including High Fidelity, South Pacific and 13.

Beth Williams (How to Succeed in Business, Million Dollar Quartet) and Allan Williams (On The Town, Les Miserables, Kinky Boots) are both multiple award-winners and have long enduring contributions to the industry, especially in a commitment to artists creating new work. They have brought musical theatre to an enormous nation and worldwide community with their respective companies Grove Entertainment and Foresight Theatrical - developing and producing new work for Broadway and more. Past NYMF honorees have included Tony winner Billy Porter, Tony nominee Kelli O'Hara, Broadway legend Chita Rivera and NBC "Smash" creators Neil Meron and Craig Zadan among others.
