The Cinderella Magic Show begins a limited nine-show engagement at St. Jean Baptiste Church in Manhattan, April 30.
An acclaimed comic adaptation of the familiar tale, the Cinderella Magic Show incorporates illusions, live animals and audience participation. This Off-Broadway run will play three performances each day at the Ballroom at St. Jean Baptiste Church on April 30, May 6 and May 7.
Created by professional actor and magician Arnie Kolodner and Alice Bergmann, the Cinderella Magic Show is appropriate for kids of all ages. In fact, the children in the audience will have the opportunity to participate with Kolodner and Bergmann throughout, and will feel like they are doing the show's magic. This includes such "wizardry" as people appearing, disappearing and levitating in mid-air.
The Cinderella Magic Show has been presented at the Emelin in Mamaroneck, the John Drew, and Schoolhouse Theaters, as well as at Westport Playhouse, Saddle River Playhouse, the Theatre at Riverside Church and at the Columbia Festival of the Arts near Baltimore.
Tickets are $17.50. The Ballroom at St. Jean Baptiste Church is located at 184 East 76th Street, between Lexington and Third Avenues. Tickets may be purchased through Ticket Central at (212) 279-4200. For group sales call (212) 889-4300. -- By Murdoch McBride
