Theatregoers are used to seeing the best of theatre — the final production. Nov. 4, Barry Edelstein will let audience members in on a different part of the process — the rehearsal — in Thinking Shakespeare, a public event at Classic Stage Company. Edelstein, who directed Shakespeare's Julius Caesar with Jeffrey Wright in Central Park, As You Like It with Gwyneth Paltrow and The Merchant of Venice with Ron Liebman, will lead a working rehearsal with Stephen Turner, Jenny Bacon and other actors from the Classic Stage Company stable as they work on scenes and famous speeches from Shakespeare's most classic works. Along with his artistic directorship of CSC, Edelstein teaches Shakespeare at Julliard, NYU in the Graduate Acting Program and at the Public Theatre's Shakespeare Lab.

Tickets are $30, $25 for Classic Stage Company members and $15 for a student rush at 6 PM. For reservations, call (212) 677-4210, ext. 2. Classic Stage Company is located at 136 East 13th St. and on the web at http://www.classicstage.com.
