News Clean Alternatives, New Comedy by Brian Dykstra, Premieres Off-Broadway Feb. 9 Brian Dykstra's new comedy, Clean Alternatives, will have its premiere production Feb. 9-March 12 at the 59E59 Theaters. Margarett Perry directs the Fresh Ice Productions show.

Dykstra himself is in the cast, along with Mark Boyett and Sue-Anne Morrow. The play is described as "an incendiary tale of an environmentally-friendly family business afloat in a sea of corporate sharks.  A chemical reaction ignites a love affair, dirty little secrets are exposed and a young woman finds a way to make her life organically solvent.... [a] scathing, tightly-wound comedy about the impossibility of enlightenment in this dark age of the almighty dollar."

Dykstra's other plays include Hiding Behind Comets, seen last spring at 29th Street Rep.

Ticket prices are $35 and can be purchased at Ticket Central (212) 279.4200 or www.ticketcentral.com or in person at the 59E59 Theaters box office.
