News Couples Diego Prieto and Brad Oscar, and Carey Mulligan and Marcus Mumford Tie the Knot Tony Award nominee Brad Oscar and actor Diego Prieto were married April 16 at the Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater in Washington, according to the New York Times.

Molly Smith, a Universal Life minister and the theatre's artistic director, officiated the ceremony. The couple met at the Arena Stage in 2005 during rehearsals of the musical Damn Yankees, which was directed by Smith. Oscar played Mr. Applegate, and Prieto played Vernon.

Oscar was nominated for a Tony Award in 2001 for his performance in The Producers. He has also been seen on Broadway in Aspects of Love, Jekyll & Hyde, Spamalot and The Addams Family. For more on Oscar's theatrical history, visit the Playbill Vault.

According to US Weekly, Oscar nominee Carey Mulligan, who appeared on Broadway in The Seagull, was also recently married.

Mulligan wed musician Marcus Mumford, who is best known as lead singer of the band Mumford & Sons, April 21 at a farm in Somerset, England. The couple began dating after Mulligan attended a Mumford & Sons show in Nashville, TN, in February 2011.

Mulligan, who was nominated for an Academy Award for her performance in "An Education," has also been seen in "Drive," "Never Let Me Go" and "Pride & Prejudice," among others. Visit Mulligan's page at the Playbill Vault.
