News CT's Stratford Fest Holds Concert Gala w/ Christopher Plummer as Henry V, May 29 Christopher Plummer will perform the role of Shakespeare's Henry V to Sir William Walton's acclaimed musical score for a gala benefit performance for the Stratford Festival Theatre in Connecticut on May 29. Plummer previously collaborated with Sir Neville Marriner on a concert version, which they first performed and recorded in London with the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields.

Christopher Plummer will perform the role of Shakespeare's Henry V to Sir William Walton's acclaimed musical score for a gala benefit performance for the Stratford Festival Theatre in Connecticut on May 29. Plummer previously collaborated with Sir Neville Marriner on a concert version, which they first performed and recorded in London with the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields. The gala combines music played by the 65 piece Hartford Symphony Orchestra. Plummer received a Tony Award, a Drama Desk Award, and an Outer Critic's Circle for his performance in Barrymore. He also received an honorary knighthood as Companion of the Order of Canada in 1968.
