Recording star Dave Matthews and guitarist Tim Reynolds headline a Feb. 2, 1999 benefit for the nonprofit Blue Light Theater Company in New York City. The event is sold out, according to a company spokesperson. Matthews and Reynolds will perform "unplugged" 7:30 PM Feb. 2 at the Beacon Theater, 2124 Broadway. Doors open at 6:30 PM and a private party with drinks and dancing follows at the Ivy Night Club, 2130 Broadway. Tickets ran $150 each.

Blue Light is the Off-Broadway troupe whose advisors include Greg Naughton and Frances McDormand. Recent productions include Dare Clubb's rewrite of Oedipus and Marsha Mason in Amazing Grace, both in 1998.
