Entitled "On Singing Onstage," the nine-hour collection represents a full year of classes at UCLA. The package features a 64-page study booklet to help guide the viewer through Craig's techniques, and the six video titles include The Lectures, Technique, Subtext, Process/The Ballad, Process/The Uptempo and Performance. The latter boasts performances by Sandra Caron, Nancy Dussault, Penny Fuller, Ellen Geer, Earl Holliman, Lonny Price and Whitney Rydbeck with Gary Carver on piano. About David Craig, Tony winner Richard Kiley said, "David teaches singers how to act and actors how to sing, and if you don't think that is a remarkable feat just watch one of his classes — it's high time his teaching was made available on tape." Craig's students have included Lucie Arnaz, Carol Burnett, Tovah Feldshuh, Sally Field, Lee Grant, Melanie Griffiths, Valerie Harper, Barbara Harris, Linda Lavin, Marsha Mason, Dina Merrill, Roger Rees, Doris Roberts, Tony Roberts, Alexis Smith, Frances Sternhagen, Marlo Thomas, Lily Tomlin, Nancy Walker and Rita Wilson.

Presented by Applause Theatre & Cinema Books, the videos were produced by Pamela Shaw of Lee Productions, Inc. in association with UCLA School of Theatre and Television. Keith Truesdell directed the six part series, which retails for $495. "On Singing Onstage" is available at select bookstores including the Drama Book Shop, www.dramabookshop.com.
