The Dazzle, by the busy Richard Greenberg, has dazzled Chicago audiences. The play will extend its run at Steppenwolf Theatre Company's Studio Theatre space until June 16. The piece opened May 9 and was to have run until June 9. David Cromer directs the tale of the colorful Collyer brothers, whose high-society life is derailed by their obsessive behavior and the entrance of a beautiful woman.
Susan Bennett, Tracy Letts, and David Pasquesi appear in the play.
The play ran Off-Broadway this past spring, with Reg Rogers and Peter Frechette starring.
The Studio season will conclude July 25-Aug. 25, 2002, with an effort by a Windy City scribe, Jeffrey Mangrum's Wendall Greene. Actress Rondi Reed directs fellow Steppenwolfers Robert Breuler and Mariann Mayberry in this premiere.
