Hoty, according to a production spokesperson, will play Nerrissa opposite the Matt of the previously announced Tom Aldredge. The cast of the Arthur Laurents play, which begins performances Oct. 18, will also include Joanne Camp as Willi, Jessica Dickey as Maryanne, Gerrit Graham as Leo and James Sutorius as Howard. The limited engagement — directed by David Saint — will play through Nov. 13. 2 Lives, according to production notes, is set "in an almost magical private park on Long Island, [where] Matt Singer, a playwright in his 70s, happily works away at his latest script, reading his newest pages to longtime partner Howard Thompson — until their weekend plans are suddenly ended by an unexpected, shocking event."

The creative team for the play comprises James Youmans (scenic design), Theoni V. Aldredge (costume design) and David Lander (lighting design).

Dee Hoty received Tony nominations for her performances in Footloose, Best Little Whorehouse Goes Public and The Will Rogers Follies. Hoty was also nominated for an Outer Critics Circle Award for her work in City of Angels, and her other Broadway credits include Mamma Mia!, Me and My Girl, Big River, The Five O'Clock Girl and Shakespeare's Cabaret. Off-Broadway Hoty appeared in Personals, Vanities and Forbidden Broadway, and she portrayed Phyllis in the Paper Mill production of Follies. Her numerous regional credits include A Little Night Music, Mame and Anything Goes.

The George Street Playhouse is located in New Brunswick, NJ at 9 Livingston Avenue. Call (732) 246-7717 for tickets, priced $28-$58, or visit www.GSPonline.org. The box office will open Sept. 12 at noon.
