News Dee Roscioli, Allie Schulz and Rachel Stern Set for Therapy Rocks Musical Casting has been announced for the New York Musical Theatre Festival production of Therapy Rocks, which is tagged "A New Modern Musical for When Chocolate Can't Mend a Broken Heart."

Directed by Thomas Caruso with choreography by Rachel Bress and musical direction by Boko Suzuki, the cast will feature Joshua Davis, Adam Halpin, Dee Roscioli, Allie Schulz and Rachel Stern.

Therapy Rocks features a book by Karen Bishko, Kaethe Fine and Nat Bennett and music and lyrics by Bishko. The new musical, according to press notes, tells the story of "Leah, a talented, obsessed, loyal, sometimes inappropriate and habitually unrequited-in-love songwriter who can’t stop eating cake! When her best friend suggests she seek help from a handsome therapist, Leah discovers that she’s been looking for love in all the wrong places. Therapy Rocks is one woman’s hilarious and heartbreaking journey into her dysfunctional past in an attempt to find herself and finally find true romance."

The production will also feature set and prop design by Ray Wetmore, costume design by Lisa Zinni, lighting design by Jim Milkey and sound design by Nick Borisjuk. Andrea Wales is the production stage manager.

Performances are scheduled for Sept. 27 at 8 PM, Sept. 29 at 1 PM, Oct. 1 at 8 PM, Oct. 2-3 at 4:30 PM, Oct. 5 at 8 PM and Oct. 6 at 1 PM at Urban Stages.
