Deedee Lynn Magno returns to the role of Kim in Broadway's Miss Saigon June 14, following Lea Salonga's departure from the show June 12.
Filipino-American Magno made her Broadway debut as Kim July 21, 1997 after touring in the role with the second national tour. Salonga, who won a Tony Award for Best Actress as Kim in the original Broadway company of Saigon returned to the role for a five month engagement beginning Jan. 18, 1999.
Also in the current Saigon cast are Will Chase (Chris), Luoyong Wong (the Engineer), Margaret Ann Gates (Ellen) and Yancey Arias (Thuy). Kristine Remigio will play Kim at certain performances.
