Michael Mayer, arguably the busiest stage director in America, will talk about his approach to the creative process, his influences and career, and other topics, in "One on One: A Conversation with Michael Mayer," 5 PM Sept. 9 at New Dance Group Arts at 254 W. 47th St. in Manhattan. The interview, conducted by playwright Craig Lucas, is presented by the Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation. Since bringing the musical The Triumph of Love to Broadway last fall, Mayer has been working non-stop, piloting A View from the Bridge, Side Man and Stupid Kids, all of which have gone on to extended runs.
The event is open to the general public. Registration is $10; $5 for member of the Society of Stage Directors and Choreographers. For reservations, call (212) 302-5359.
