Titled "Everything Is Copy," the project will be co-directed by Nick Hooker, with Matt Parker and Carly Hugo on board as producers for HBO Documentary Films. Graydon Carter, the editor of Vanity Fair who won an Emmy for producing "9/11," will executive produce. Ephron, the acclaimed writer-director known for the screenplays to "Sleepless in Seattle," "When Harry Met Sally" and "Heartburn," died at the age of 71 on June 26, 2012. Her new play Lucky Guy, about the rise of tenacious tabloid reporter Mike McAlary, premiered on Broadway this spring starring Tom Hanks.

Lucky Guy marks Ephron's second Broadway outing. The first was the short-lived 2005 play-with-music Imaginary Friends, about writers Lillian Hellman and Mary McCarthy. With her sister Delia, she also adapted Love, Loss, And What I Wore Off-Broadway.

Ephron's numerous films include "This Is My Life," "Mixed Nuts," "You've Got Mail," "Lucky Numbers" and "Julie & Julia." Ephron began her writing career as a reporter for The New York Post. Her published works include "Crazy Salad," "Scribble, Scribble," "I Feel Bad About My Neck: And Other Thoughts on Being a Woman," "I Remember Nothing: And Other Reflections," "Wallflower at the Orgy" and "Heartburn."
