News Don't Tell Mama, Famed NYC Cabaret Venue, Opens Second Site in Los Angeles Don't Tell Mama, the famed New York City cabaret venue, has opened a second site on the West Coast. The Los Angeles nightclub opened to the public for dinner and entertainment Feb. 26; brunch will begin March 2.

Don't Tell Mama Los Angeles promises "a nightly entertainment roster of Los Angeles' most talented singers, pianists, cabaret and performance artists."

To celebrate the arrival of the first West Coast site, Don't Tell Mama New York has lent its staff of singers and pianists to assist with auditions and mentoring, as DTMLA artistic director Ryan O'Connor continues the search for a permanent Los Angeles staff.

The Los Angeles venue will also host performers and guests from "Smash," "Glee," "American Idol" and the touring companies in residence at local major theatrical houses, such as The Pantages, Ahmanson and REDCAT.

Don't Tell Mama Los Angeles offers two spaces — the entertainment venue and the dining room. The entertainment venue features cabaret style seating adjoining the bar, with large banquettes for groups and celebrations. The dining room features intimate seating for approximately 50 dining guests. A full bar is also available.
