PlayBlog Douglas Hodge Passes La Cage Torch to Harvey Fierstein (Video) Douglas Hodge, who won a Tony Award for playing Albin/Zaza in the current revival of La Cage aux Folles, passes the torch to Harvey Fierstein, the four-time Tony Award winner who succeeds Hodge in the role beginning Feb. 15, in this video.

Fierstein won Tony Awards for writing the book for La Cage and the play Torch Song Trilogy, as well as for performing in Torch Song and Hairspray. He has also appeared on Broadway in Fiddler on the Roof and La Cage.

Hodge also received an Olivier Award for the London production of this revival. He has worked at the National Theatre, the Royal Shakespeare Company, Shakespeare's Globe, the Royal Court Theatre and the Donmar Warehouse in London, and played in Guys and Dolls in the West End, among many other credits.
