Atlantic Records released the original Broadway cast recording of Jekyll & Hyde July 15, featuring Robert Cuccioli in the title role(s), along with Linda Eder and Christiane Noll.

You can download clips from our website by clicking on "Audio Clips" from the navigation bar on the left side of the screen. Five 30-second clips from the CD can be downloaded, including a sample of Robert Cuccioli singing "This Is the Moment," and Linda Eder singing "Good 'n' Evil," the song that replaced "Bring on the Men," as heard on the previous two-CD studio recording.

Spokesman Rick Miramontez said the cast had hoped to record the album and release it soon after the April 28 Broadway opening, but a busy preview period meant that the recording session now has been postponed until after the opening. Composer Frank Wildhorn, also a record producer, has taken a personal hand in the preparation of this cast album.

The Broadway recording will be released as a single CD, according to Susan Celia Swann, senior director of East Coast media relations.

The score was recorded originally as a concept album in 1990 with Colm Wilkinson as Jekyll/Hyde and Linda Eder as Lucy. Atlantic released a two-album set in 1994 with Anthony Warlow and Eder. Now, with several songs from that set dropped and several new ones written, the third recording will capture the original Broadway cast, starring Cuccioli and, again, Eder.

Even if you don't own any of these albums, chances are strong that you've heard some of the music. Three J&H songs were performed at the 1993 Miss America Pageant. "A New Life" was sung by the winner; the two runners-up performed "This Is The Moment" and "Someone Like You," respectively. The songs also have been popular choices for sporting events, most notably skating competitions, plus the Super Bowl and World Cup Soccer.
