News   Durst's All-American Sport of Bipartisan Bashing Offically Opens Aug. 15

The All-American Sport of Bipartisan Bashing, the one-man show by Emmy Award winner Will Durst, officially opens Off-Broadway Aug. 15. Previews began Aug. 6.

Durst describes the show as "a 90-minute political comedy for people who are sick of politics as usual. We laugh to keep from crying, right? And with a president, two houses of Congress and endless parade of presidential hopefuls making daily punch lines out of headlines, I've got the best joke-writers in the business working for me." The San Francisco-based Durst, who is known for his regular commentary on CNN and NPR, also writes a nationally syndicated op-ed column. He has been nominated for five Emmy Awards and received seven nominations for the American Comedy Awards' Stand Up of the Year prize.

Presented by Hanging Chad Productions, The All-American Sport of Bipartisan Bashing plays New World Stages Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at 8 PM, Friday and Saturday at 10 PM and Sunday at 3 PM.

Tickets are priced $30-$50. Student rush tickets, priced $20, are available at all performances 20 minutes prior to curtain with valid student ID. Call (212) 239-6200 or visit telecharge.com or www.willdurst.com
