Classic Arts News Edmonton Symphony Announces 2006-07 Lineup The Edmonton Symphony Orchestra has announced its 2006-07 season, which will include pianist Horacio Guti_rrez, percussionist Colin Currie, and conductor Andrew Litton making their ESO debuts; and returning artists pianist Jon Kimura Parker and violinist James Ehnes.
Music director William Eddins will conduct 15 programs with the orchestra, which will also be led by returning guest conductors including Calgary Philharmonic music director Roberto Minczuk and Boston Pops principal guest conductor Bruce Hangen.

Nineteen works will receive their ESO premieres, including Janšcek's Glagolitic Mass and Stravinsky's Ebony Concerto.

Bandone‹n virtuoso Daniel Binelli will return to the ESO to perform Piazolla's Concerto for Bandone‹n and Guitar with guitarist Eduardo Isaac. Other returning artists include pianist Jon Kimura Parker playing Rachmaninoff's Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini.
