News Elton John Will Be Part of Speaking Clock Revue Concerts Tony Award-winning songwriter Elton John will take part in the Speaking Clock Revue, two concerts that will take place in Boston and New York in October to raise money for the Particpant Foundation, which supports music and arts education in public schools, according to Rolling Stone.

The Boston concert will take place at The Wang Center on Oct. 16, with the New York concert set for the Beacon Theatre on Oct. 20.

The concerts, produced by T-Bone Burnett, will also boast musical performances by Elvis Costello, John Mellencamp, Gregg Allman, Jeff Bridges, Leon Russell, Ralph Stanley, Punch Brothers, Karen Elson and the Secret Sisters.

John won a Tony Award for his score for Aida and additional nominations for his musical contributions to Billy Elliot and The Lion King, and for producing the play Next Fall. He has received five Grammy Awards in his lengthy music career.

Tickets for the Speaking Clock Revue will go on sale Sept. 27 via Telecharge.com.
