Trio Beyond: Saudades, a new disc from drummer Jack DeJohnette, keyboardist Larry Golding and guitarist John Scofield, made its first appearance at number 15.
On the contemporary-jazz chart, The Best of Will Downing: The Millennium Collection, a new compilation from the singer, debuted at number one, dethroning Herbie Hancock's Possibilities, which fell to number three. Saxophonist Marion Meadows's Dressed to Chill moved from number five to number two in its second week on the chart.
