News Expecting Molly Ringwald Exits Broadway's Enchanted April, June 15 Molly Ringwald (Cabaret, tick, tick...BOOM!) will play her final performance in Broadway's Enchanted April June 15, a production spokesperson confirmed. No replacement for the actress, who is expecting a baby, has been named yet.

The Matthew Barber play about an Englishwomen transformed by a vacation in Italy began its run at the Belasco Theatre on April 8. The cast of Enchanted April includes Ringwald, Jayne Atkinson, Elizabeth Ashley, Michael Hayden, Michael Cumpsty, Patricia Conolly, Dagmara Dominczyk and Daniel Gerroll. Michael Wilson, Hartford Stage artistic director, directed the work. Atkinson plays Lotty, the mousy, cloistered English housewife who, with Ringwald's quirky Rose — another bored wife — embarks on a bold excursion to Tuscany, which transforms their dreary existences. Ashley is Mrs. Graves, the prideful matron who joins them.

Jeffrey Richards, Richard Gross, Ellen Berman, Irv Welzer and Fred Vogel produce.
