Oscar-winning actor F. Murray Abraham will narrate the New York premiere of Don Quijote de la Mancha: Romances y Músicas Oct. 20.

Part of Lincoln Center's Great Performers season, Don Quijote will be presented at 7:30 PM in the Rose Theater. Abraham serves as the narrator for the piece created by director Jordi Savall that pairs the words of Miguel de Cervantes with folk songs and period music to bring to life the tale of Don Quixote. Originally created for the 400th anniversary of "Don Quixote" in 2005, Don Quijote de la Mancha: Romances y Músicas is filled with period musical references and actual compositions mentioned in Cervantes' work.
