News Falsettos Nominee Kaplan Finds His Lot in New Musical Sodom Jonathan Kaplan, the young actor who received a Tony nomination for his performance as Jason in the original Broadway production of Falsettos, will be featured in Sodom: The Musical next month at the Kraine Theater.

Kaplan will play Lot in the new musical, which will also feature The Village People's Randy Jones (he was the cowboy) as God. The company also includes Brian Munn, Blythe Gruda, Amy Barker, Stanley Bahorek, Matt Owen, David Abeles, Jake Manabat, Ryan Kelly, Stephanie Kovacs, Patrick Gallagher and Galit Sperling. Joy's Ben Rimalower will helm the production, which is being presented by Handwritten Theatre Company. Performances begin Nov. 4 with an official opening set for Nov. 8; the limited engagement will play through Dec. 3. The creative team also includes Marcus Baker (music direction), James DeForte (choreography), Jason Courson (scenic design) and Shane Mongar (lighting design).

Sodom: The Musical features book and lyrics by Kevin Laub and music by Adam David Cohen. The musical, according to production notes, "recounts the last days of the original 'Sin City.' When God is hell-bent on destroying Sodom, optimistic Abraham sets off to prove the Big Guy wrong by finding ten honest Sodomites. But will he find them in time?"

Performances are Tuesdays at 8 PM and Fridays and Saturdays at 10:30 PM. The Kraine Theater is located at 85 East 4th Street, between Second Avenue and the Bowery. Tickets, priced $10-$15, are available by calling (212) 868-4444 or by visiting www.horseTRADE.info.
