News Fanny Hills’s Anderson Celebrates New CD at Aug. 14 Concert Nancy Anderson, who recently starred in the title role of the York Theatre Company’s production of Fanny Hill, will celebrate the release of her debut solo recording at an upcoming concert at Birdland.

On Aug. 14 Anderson will perform Ten Cents a Dance, an evening celebrating the release of her CD of the same name. The 7 PM concert will feature standards and swing tunes of the twenties and thirties. The singing actress will be joined by Ross Patterson and his Little Big Band, and cabaretgoers can expect to hear hits by Artie Shaw, Rodgers and Hart, Dolly Dawn and Ruth Etting. Nancy Anderson was most recently seen on Broadway as Eileen Sherwood in the revival of Wonderful Town. She made her Broadway debut as Mona in A Class Act and starred in the West End production of Kiss Me, Kate as Lois/Bianca. Off-Broadway she was seen in Fanny Hill, Jolson & Co. and Fables in Slang. Anderson's regional theatre credits include Fanny Hill, Nicolette and By Jeeves.
