The play's National Theatre run was only announced four days before the run actually began. Directed by Nicholas Hytner, who also directed Bean's One Man, Two Guvnors that also transferred to the Haymarket, the play is described in press materials as a fast and furious, anarchic and foul-mouthed satire about the press, the police and the political establishment.  It revolves around Paige Britain, who is the ambitious young news editor of The Free Press, a tabloid newspaper locked in a never-ending battle for more readers. 
The production is designed by Tim Hatley, with video design by 59 Productions, lighting by Neil Austin, music by Grant Olding and sound by Paul Arditti. 

Casting for the West End run is still to be announced, but the company at the National is led by Billie Piper as Paige Britain, with Dermot Crowley, Robert Glenister, Jo Dockery, Aaron Neil, Oliver Chris and Rupert Vansittart also in featured roles.
