News Feinstein Pens Song for Thanksgiving Day Parade; Camp Broadway Seeks 600 Kids Six-hundred children will be part of the opening number for the 80th Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

The annual parade, which will be televised live beginning at 9 AM ET Nov. 23 on NBC-TV, will kick off with "Give Me a Drum," a new tuned penned by Michael Feinstein with lyrics by Bill Schermerhorn, Macy's creative director. Camp Broadway, the theatre arts education company, is currently looking for 600 kids, ages 11-14, to be part of this festive opening, which will be choreographed by Tony Parise. Auditions will be held in New York June 3 at the Ripley Greer Studios, 520 Eighth Avenue on the 16th floor. Those auditioning should bring a completed application and be ready to dance a combination that will be taught by a Broadway choreographer.
