Giradeau—a Foote veteran who is the producer of the Horton By the Stream summer theatre project in Elka Park, NY—inhabits the role of Judge Robedaux in Traveling Lady. The character only appears in the first scene, and the EST production begins promptly at 7:30 PM. Giradeau then travels ten blocks south to the Signature to play a bus station attendant in the latter half of Bountiful, which goes up nightly at 8 PM.
The thespian is well schooled in the work of Horton Foote. He has acted in the dramatist's The One-Armed Man, The Road to the Graveyard, Night Seasons and Talking Pictures. His Horton By the Stream enterprise is now in its twelfth season.

Off-Broadway's Ensemble Studio Theatre gave New Yorkers a second taste of vintage Horton Foote by reviving the playwright's 1954 play The Traveling Lady beginning March 1.
The Signature Theatre Company's recent remounting of The Trip to Bountiful turned into a surprise hit, extending several times at the Off-Broadway house. Foote's many plays include The Day Emily Married, The Last of the Thorntons, The Carpetbagger's Children, The Young Man From Atlanta, The Chase, Lily Dale, The Widow Claire and Laura Dennis.
