Forbes.com has named ten people as Tastemakers in Performing Arts. These individuals, according to Forbes, "had the greatest impact on plays and musicals in the U.S over the past year."

The most widely visited business website chose the ten individuals after chatting with critics, professors, producers and other industry experts. Forbes.com also studied media coverage and examined who won the most awards for the 2006 calendar year. The ten Tastemakers in Performing Arts chosen follow:
