The Music Theatre of Southern California will revive the perennially popular musical Forever Plaid at two venues in July. The show first opens at the San Gabriel Civic Auditorium July 9 for a two-week run, moving July 30 to The Alex in Glendale for five performances.
Forever Plaid tells the story of aspiring singers who idolize such groups as the Four Freshmen and the Four Lads. Calling themselves the Four Plaids, the hapless teens are on their way to their first big concert when they broadside a bus filled with Catholic school girls.
To redeem themselves, the four are allowed back on earth for one night to perform.
MTSC is in its 15th season. Call (626) 308-2868 for information.
