Forever Plaid fans will be treated to a special New Year's Eve performance of the hit musical in San Diego, CA, at 7:30 PM on Dec. 31. Festivities will include Plaid harmonies, hilarity, party favors and dessert buffet. At midnight, Times Square time (9 PM PST), the audience will join the plaids in a countdown to the new year as the ball drops in a live giant TV broadcast in the theatre. Celebrants will raise their glasses in a non-alcoholic toast to the new millennium.
New Year's Eve performance tickets are $50 per person. A dinner-theatre package with the nearby Cafe Pacifica is also available at $99 per person, either preceding or following the performance.
The cast of Forever Plaid recently participated in a "Toys for Tots" 8K run. Through Dec. 19 theatregoers can save $4 per ticket by bringing a new toy to The Theatre in Old Town.
