Directed by Larry Conroy, the afternoon features musical accompaniment by Christina Britton Conroy.

Anthony Newfield’s Broadway credits include Tartuffe with Brian Bedford, Waiting for Godot, and The Royal Family with Rosemary Harris and Jan Maxwell.

Seamus Heaney won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1995.

"Beowulf," a masterpiece of world literature, was originally composed in Anglo-Saxon (Old English) between the middle of the seventh and the end of the tenth century A.D. The poem "concerns the deeds of the Scandinavian prince Beowulf, his confrontations and his learning to live with the aftermath," according to press notes.
