Free Reading of Selections from "Eating My Feelings" Set for March 3 at the Kirk Theatre

News   Free Reading of Selections from "Eating My Feelings" Set for March 3 at the Kirk Theatre

Mark Brennan Rosenberg will preview selections from his upcoming memoir, "Eating My Feelings," March 3 at The Kirk Theatre on Theatre Row.

Cocktails will begin at 5:30 PM with the reading scheduled for 7 PM. "Eating My Feelings," according to press notes, is "the hilarious tale of an overweight soon-to-be-gay 10 year old who is introduced to his new evil stepmother over bad eggrolls.  Let the food issues begin.  Follow Mark in this coming-of-age story that takes him through fat camp, a diet where he gets paid to lose weight and of course, high school.  The self imagine issues continue in adulthood as Mark hires a menagerie of personal trainers, tries to emulate 'Julie and Julia' in order to get published and attempts to date while having an imaginary relationship with Tony Horton, the founder of the P90X workout program."

Rosenberg is also the author of "Blackouts and Breakdowns."

The Kirk Theatre on Theatre Row is located at 410 West 42nd Street, between 9th and 10th Avenues. Those interested in attending the free event should e-mail eatingmyfeelingsbook@gmail.com by Feb. 27.
