News Free Readings of The Becky Show to Feature Collela, Falk and Walsh Two free readings of The Becky Show will be held Feb. 11 and 12 at the Ars Nova on West 54th Street.

Featuring a book by Michael Patrick King and music and lyrics by Nancy Shayne, the 8 PM readings will feature the talents of Jenn Collela, Willy Falk, Anita Gillete, Mary Pat Gleason, Barbara Walsh and Garret Long. King will direct. The Becky Show is described as "a funny, dark musical glimpse at what happens to a woman whose dream of being a New York artist takes longer than she had planned. . . it explores the areas of dreams, disappointments, art, family and first love."

Writer King and composer Shayne met while they were both comics at Manhattan's The Improvisation Comedy Club. Shayne would later score some music for King's series "Sex and The City."

The Ars Nova is located in Manhattan at 511 West 54th Street at Tenth Avenue. Although admission is free, reservations are required by calling (212) 977-1700 or e-mailing [email protected].
