News Friedman Revue Listen to My Heart—Starring Friedman Himself—Premieres in Milwaukee March 11 Listen to My Heart — The Songs of David Friedman, a revue which ran Off-Broadway in last 2003, will have its Milwaukee premiere March 11-27 at the Miramar Theatre.

The revue features a mix of familiar and new tunes by the acclaimed New York-based composer, whose works were championed by the late Nancy LaMott. Many of LaMott's signature tunes are included in the revue, including "We Can Be Kind," "Help Is on the Way" and the title tune. The cast is composed of five talents well known in Chicago and Milwaukee theatre circles: Kelli Cramer, Laura Dekkers, Joel Kopischke, Tami Rentmeester and Robert Whorton.

Also featured is Friedman himself, who performs and is music director. Tom Stajmiger is director. According to Kopischke, a solo number has been added for Friedman, and the company is looking into a Chicago run in the fall.

The Off-Broadway cast included Alix Korey, Allison Briner, Joe Cassidy, Michael Hunsaker and Anne Runolfsson. Mark Waldrop directed.

A recording of the New York production was subsequently released. The complete track list is as follows:
