Mr. Theatre Company's six characters seem to have found the author that Luigi Pirandello searched for all those years ago, because the name of the troupe's new presentation is called Six Characters in Search of a Working Title. The play will be performed Aug. 18-29 at the New York International Fringe Festival. The six here share their stories of "crime, fate, family" (sounds like Pirandello so far) "and baked goods" (ah, well). The company promises "an ensemble production with the feel of a Bugs Bunny cartoon, a Busby Berkeley musical and commedia dell'arte."
