Tim Driesen will star as Frankie Valli. He is currently playing the role in the Dutch production of the show, having previously played Valli for a short season at the West End's Prince Edward Theatre. He also played Joey Primo in Rock of Ages in the West End and created the role of Adrian Banks (the character based on Take That's Mark Owen) in Never Forget, both on tour and in the West End.
In addition to the previously announced seasons in Edinburgh, Stoke, Hull, Sunderland and Birmingham, Jersey Boys is also now set to visit Canterbury, Milton Keynes, Southend, Aberdeen, Woking, Oxford, Bristol, Liverpool, Norwich and Southampton, with further dates to be announced.
Jersey Boys is written by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, with music by Bob Gaudio and lyrics by Bob Crewe. The U.K. tour will be staged by the entire original Broadway creative team, led by director Des McAnuff and choreographer Sergio Trujillo, with scenic design by Klara Zieglerova, costume design by Jess Goldstein, lighting by Howell Binkley, sound by Steve Canyon Kennedy and projections design by Michael Clark. The orchestrations are by Steve Orich, and the music supervision and vocal arrangements by Ron Melrose.
The U.K. tour is produced by Dodger Theatricals, David Ian / Michael Watt and Ambassador Theatre Group, with Joseph J. Grano, Tamara and Kevin Kinsella, Pelican Group, in association with Latitude Link, Rick Steiner, DHST Inc.
