News Galt MacDermot, Julia Mattison, Ryan Scott Oliver, Bill Russell, Charles Strouse Will Pen New Songs for Once Upon a Time A host of musical theatre writers will pen new songs for Once Upon a Time in New York City, an evening celebrating The City of New York, which will be presented Oct. 14 at 9:30 PM at Joe's Pub.

The composers, who are ages 19-90 and who were born everywhere from Kansas City to San Francisco to Montreal, will write a song about someone who has changed their idea of New York City.

Contributors currently include Danny Abosch, Deborah Abramson, Gaby Alter, Nick Blaemire, Jake Brandman, Zina Goldrich, Adam Gwon, Paul Scott Goodman, Marcy Heisler, Caleb Hoyer, Joe Iconis, Michael R. Jackson, Galt MacDermot, Julia Mattison, Ryan Scott Oliver, Willem Oosthuysen, Bill Russell, Charles Strouse and Zack Zadek.

Performers for the evening, which will benefit The Actors Fund, will be announced shortly.

The concert is created by Caleb Hoyer and Jennifer Ashley Tepper.

Joe’s Pub is located at 425 Lafayette Street in Manhattan. Tickets are priced $30 and $50 (includes priority seating). There is a $12 food/drink minimum. For tickets visit www.joespub.com.
