Performances are scheduled for Dec. 4 at 7 PM and 9:30 PM. Opening for these intimate performances will be a select group of up-and-coming talent, who have been coached by actor-singer Creel.
Creel will also offer two public master classes in the greater Boston area: Dec. 3 at 6:30 PM and Dec. 4 at 11 AM at the Roberts Theater, Calderwood Pavilion. Interested singers should prepare two songs (one musical theater and one contemporary); there will be some singers chosen from the audience.
Creel received Tony nominations for his work in Hair and Thoroughly Modern Millie. He recently starred in the London production of Hair, and previously appeared in London in Mary Poppins. Additional stage credits include La Cage aux Folles and Bounce.
Tickets for the concerts, priced $35, are available by visiting www.rylesjazz.com. All seats in the master classes are priced $25. For tickets visit http://thevoxhumanaproject.ticketleap.com/broadways-gavin-creel-public-masterclasses.
