Directed by Anders Cato, the production will continue through Oct. 31. A separate production at Playwrights Horizons in 2009-10 was a critically acclaimed, extended hit. The title is now appearing in regional theatres around the country.

Stage and screen star Sandy Duncan heads the cast as Marty, the teacher of a quartet of Vermont adult-acting class students in a local community center. Her students include Tom Riis Farrell (Broadway's Chicago), Sandie Rosa, Amanda Sykes and Nick Wyman (Tale of Two Cities on Broadway).

"What do a flirty former actress, a teen-aged girl, a hippie husband and a recently-divorced carpenter have in common?" George Street notes ask. "Not much until they take an acting class together for six weeks, revealing secrets that they never intended and transforming in ways they never expected."

Creating the world of Circle Mirror Transformation are scenic designer R. Michael Miller, lighting designer Joe Saint, costumer designer Jennifer Moeller and sound designer Christopher J. Bailey.
