PlayBlog "Glee" Ratings: Spring Season Episode 3 The pairing of “Glee” and “American Idol” continued to dominate the ratings for the night of April 27. Early numbers indicate that “Glee” had 12.6 million viewers and a 5.3 rating in the demographic of 18-49-year-olds, although numbers will likely be revised downward to account for “American Idol” running into the 9 PM hour. But that shouldn't bother the "Glee" folks much: According to The Hollywood Reporter, "Glee"'s ratings are now the highest for a new scripted series this season!

At this point, Tvbythenumbers.com reports that ratings for this week's episode, "Home," were down a mere tenth of a point from last week’s “The Power of Madonna” episode. The soundtrack from the Madonna episode debuted at Number 1 on the Billboard charts for the week of April 20, according to ew.com. This is the highest debut for a “Glee” album so far; the first album of music from the series debuted in December at Number 3.

“Home” featured Tony and Emmy Award winner Kristin Chenoweth repeating her guest role from earlier in the season of down-on-her-luck former glee club star April Rhodes. Songs featured in the episode include “A House Is Not a Home,” “Fire,” “One Less Bell to Answer,” “Beautiful,” “Home Sweet Home” and “Home.”

Next week’s episode, “Bad Reputation,” will feature guest appearances by Olivia Newton-John and Molly Shannon, as well as performances of “Physical,” “Ice Ice Baby,” “Run Joey Run,” “Total Eclipse of the Heart” and “U Can’t Touch This.”
