For those looking to see if they have what it takes to swing in with the new year, Goia Covo and cast members from the Broadway hit, Swing! will be teaching the basics of the dance form on Monday, Jan. 3 at 8 PM at the New York Health and Racquet Club, 110 West 56th Street.
After five weeks of previews, Lynne Taylor-Corbett's Swing! opened, Dec. 9, to strong reviews at the St. James Theatre. The high energy, all-dance nod to the worldwide Swing phenomenon stars composer and song stylist Ann Hampton Callaway in her Broadway debut, with direction and choreography by Taylor-Corbett. The production was surpervised by Tony Award-winning director Jerry Zaks.
