Directed by Claire Lundberg, Golden Age will officially open April 1. The cast comprises Cameron Cash, Michael Chernus, Sarah Elliott, Greg Felden, Christopher J. Hanke, Christopher Kromer, Tami Mansfield and Chuck Wagner. The limited engagement will play through April 23.

Golden Age, according to press notes, is a "comic book fantasia that journeys through time and space, chronicling the life and times of freckled, red-headed, Archie-esque everyman Buddy Baxter — his rise from high school heartthrob to college misfit to struggling New York writer."

The creative team features Wilson Chin (set design), Melissa Levin (costume design), Matt Richards (lighting design) and Daniel Baker (Sound design).

Playwright Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa penned The Mystery Plays, which received the Roger L. Stevens Award from the Kennedy Center Fund for New American Plays in 2002 and the Connecticut Critics’ Award for Outstanding Play/Production in 2004. His other works include The Muckle Man, Say You Love Satan and Dark Matters. He is currently a playwright-in residence at New York's Second Stage Theatre.

The Kraine Theater is located in Manhattan at 85 East Fourth Street, between Second and Third Avenues. Golden Age plays Wednesday Friday evenings at 7:30 PM with an added performance April 23 at 2:30 PM.
