News Good News Gets NYC Concert by Musicals Tonight! Nov. 1-12 Everybody'll be doing "The Varsity Drag" Nov. 1-12 at the 45th Street Theatre, where a concert revival of Good News is being staged by the Musicals Tonight! troupe.

The classic 1927 show about college life (football star falls in love with tutor at Tait College — you get the picture) has a libretto by Laurence Schwab and B.G. DeSylva, music by Ray Henderson, lyrics by B.G. DeSylva and Lew Brown. The score includes "The Varsity Drag" and "The Best Things in Life Are Free."

The piano and voice presentation is directed and choreographed by Thomas Mills. Music director and vocal arranger is Rick Hip-Flores.

The cast includes Selby Brown (Sylvester), Ryan Dunkin (Beef), Leo Ash Evens (Ensemble), Katy Frame (Ensemble), Ben Franklin (Ensemble), Adam MacDonald (Tom), Missy Matherne (Babe u/s, Ensemble), Patrick Maubert (Ensemble), Erik McEwen (Ensemble), Emily Mixon (Ensemble), Noel Molinelli (Connie), Jonathan Osborne (Professor), Annie Ramsey (Babe), Roger Rifkin (Coach), Sandie Rosa (Flo), Adam Shonkwiler (Bobby), Tad Wilson (Pooch), Dana Zihlman (Connie) and Peanuts.

Mel Miller is artistic director of Musicals Tonight! Casting director is Stephen DeAngelis. Shih-hui Wu is lighting designer and stage manager.

Performances play Tuesday at 7:30 PM with matinees Wednesday and Saturday and Sunday at 2:30 PM. Ticket are $19 at Smarttix at (212) 868-4444 or www.smarttix.com.
